The timer knob on my dryer is stuck. I noticed it was difficult to turn when trying to make a selection and eventually it just stopped moving on a timed dry setting. I let the dryer cycle finish and the knob popped back up, but now when I press it in it no longer turns.

I took off the control panel housing, but there isn't much to see besides the timer kit/harness and I'm unable to see why it might be binding as it appears to be all internal to the timer. I can pop the knob back out (pushing from the other side), but this does not help it turn.

Is there anything else I can try before I order another timer kit for it, presumably

Part Details - SPEEDQUEEN Kit, timer & harness, part number: AP2403123

I have used the dryer a number of times this week and it has otherwise been operating fine.

Thanks,
John

Hi John

Unfortunately timers are for the most part non-repairable parts and even more unfortunately yours is a fairly expensive one, but I think you have to replace it to fix your dryer.
