my kenmore gas dryer will start up and heat up for about three minutes. then it will try to heat up again but the ignitor just starts up but there is no flame. Does anyone have any sugestions?

Most likely the problem with your dryer are a bad coils on the gas valve.

- The part number for the kit of the gas valve coils is AP2150379

thank you i will try to replace the coil. is it pretty easy to do? Do I need to take out the whole gas assembly?

In order to provide more accurate advise I need the complete model number of the dryer.

the model number is Kenmore, 11087878100 and the serial number is M90508095

Just remove the bottom panel.

You need a short Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the bracket on top of the coils.
