I have a Whirlpool Cabrio dryer that stopped in mid cycle yesterday. No power. Was thinking thermal fuse but when I opened it up I saw a wire completely burned. See attached pictures. Any ideas what caused this or if it can or should be repaired. It seems to burn from the feed and going up into the control panel. I think the dryer was purchased in 2000.

thanks in advance
