Model Number: ALE331RAW Brand: Amana Age: 1 - 5 years
Thanks Gene for your response however I have encontered a new problem The Cylinder bracket had worn away and needs to be replaced I found all the parts on this site but I am not sure if these are rivetted in place? If so is the repair beyond me!!

Hi Liz,
I can not tell by the pictures if it's riveted or screwed in. You can see it only after the dryer is taken apart. It's not a big problem if it's riveted. You can buy a rivet gun in any hardware store. Gene.

Thanks so much Gene you are being so helpful. Most other places say Oh no don't do it yourself..... No I'll pay someone half of what a new dryer costs !! and learn nothing in the process. One last question before I tackle the job. How do I remove the old broken piece, I'm tempted to take a hammer & nail to just knock it free?? liz

If it's screwed - just unscrew it.
If it's riveted - you have to cut off the old rivet or drill it off or remove it with a file. You can also use a chisel. Gene.
