All of the sudden, this dryer has started shutting off mid cycle when using high heat on either the automatic or timed setting. The dryer stops completely and the timer doesn't advance farther. Sometimes it works for 2 minutes before shutting off, sometimes it works 20+ minutes before shutting off. It'll complete a cycle on low heat.

Bump. Any ideas? Today I looked outside while mowing and saw the vent exit and the back of the house looked pretty clogged. I have one of those little cages on it to keep birds out and it looked packed full of lint. Could this cause my issue? I’m going to take it off and clean it tomorrow. The inside the house part of the vent was fairly clean.
