At wits end

I am having issues with my dryer. About 3 weeks ago it stopped drying, so I unplugged it and broke out the ohms meter to test all thermostats and element. It tested them all and found the high limit thermostats open. I then inspected the element and it had a crack on the plate separating the coils. While in there I disassembled the blower housing and gave it a good cleaning. (It has no vent hose as it is outside and the back is not blocked. Checked all of the seals (felt on the back of the drum and on the front of the drum on the door. All the seals were good. So I ordered all of the thermostats (High and low), and the thermal fuse (even tho I did not need it thought it was best to replace it anyway.) Replaced all of the devices the dryer dried for 2 loads and blew the top high limit thermostat only tested all others still good. So I ordered the high limit thermostats again and it blew only the top one. It has great air flow no detectable air leakage. I did notice when the coils heat they get bright red and never cool down with the air flow. Not sure what is going on, can some shed light on this for me.
Thanks in advance.
