Dryer Repair

My dryer is not running. There is power and you can select cycles, but when you hit the start button you hear the normal beep and a clicking sound that seems to be coming from the bottom back of the dryer. There is no error code showing. You can pause and clear the cycle you selected which can be seen on the control panel but then clears. Please help!

The first thing I would do is check the belt and the belt switch (#5 on the diagram).

- The broken belt switch Part number: AP3094230

- The belt Part number: AP2911808

Replaced the broken belt switch, the belt looks fine, still no dryer. What would you suggest for the next step (thermal fuse)?

Have you replaced the broken belt switch because it was bad or just in case?

Have you replaced it with the OEM part?

Replaced it with the part you listed above just in case since I couldn't test it.

I see now how you recommend testing, but I replaced it with the broken belt switch you listed above (just in case) and it did not fix the problem.

Perform the tests as described in the Tech sheet and post the results.
