I've a whirlpool gas dryer (Model # WGD8500SR0). As you can see in the link below, lthe burner stays on for 5-10 seconds and than turns off for 1.5-2.0 minute s. It repeats these on-off cycles. Because of this, it takes too long to dry the clothes. Can anyone please help me to find what could be wrong? Thanks

Could be the gas valves.

check the windings when the are cold and write down the ohm readings. Then check them as soon as they quit. If you find an open one, that's your problem.

When you test are you on timed dry with high heat setting?

I was able to fix it by changing two solenoid valves. Thank for your reply.
