My Whirlpool gas dryer is having the below symptoms. Can you help me diagnose the problem:

- On heat setting "Medium (P Press)" setting. The igniter lights up good every 30-60 seconds but there is no flame.
- On heat setting "High Heavy" the igniter lights and the burner flame comes up first time for around 3-5 minutes. The dryer heats fine during this time. After this the burner goes off and does not restart. The igniter continues to light up good every 30-60 seconds.

Please guide on what part should replaced based on your best experiences to get this back to life.

I'd say you need to replace your gas valve coils. They come as a set, so replace both. They get hairline cracks in their windings that work when they are cold and open when they get warm.

One of the screws on the coil is jammed and not coming out. I tried spraying little WD40 but it is still not coming out. Any suggestions?

If you've chewed the center out of the screw, you can still cut a slot in it with a dremel tool or a hacksaw. Then use a large straight blade screwdriver to break the screw loose.

If you haven't watched the repair video on the parts page yet, it can help you with reassembly. Good luck.
