Hello all:
Wondering if someone can give us some advice. We have a Whirlpool WED5840SW0 (3-5 years old). A few days ago it stopped working. If you plug it in, it heats up immediately, but the control panel is dead, no response, and drum won't turn.

Wondering if this is going to be cost effective to repair, or if we might be better off replacing the dryer.

Thanks

Is this something you will tackle yourself, or are you asking if the potential problems are cost prohibitive to have professionally repaired? It will be a matter of tracking power thru the unit and seeing what shorted out.
