Dryer runs and the timer advances but when the cycle ends the dryer continues to spin until you open the door. It does stop heating at end of Cycle. All fuses and thermostats have been checked for continuity and are ok.

Does this occur in all cycles or just normal? It may be the timer isn't advancing far enough to shut down before the timer shuts power off to its motor. Another reason the plastic gears in the timer may be worn at the point just before end of cycle. If either case is true you can replace it pretty cheap GE WE4M527 Timer - AppliancePartsPros.com
