Hi All!
My old electric Roper dryer (REX4634EWO) just recently started taking very long to dry. After researching, I ordered and changed these parts, heating element, high limit thermostat and high temp fuse, cycling thermostat, and thermal fuse. I also completely cleaned all the lint in the machine and thoroughly cleaned the vent in my wall. Now, when I start the cycle (high, low, auto) everything works but soon enough, the high limit thermostat trips and shuts the heating coils down. The machine keeps turning and eventually the thermostat resets and the heat comes on again, only to quickly trip itself again. I am at a loss here. How can I get the heat to stay on? The blower is pushing plenty of air out of the outlet, and when the heat is working all the different cycles of the timer seem to be working as well. I will also mention that I have tried two different thermostats.
Thanks for any help.
