I have a Whirlpool Duet dryer, model GG9250PT1, where the control knob only indicates that the manual settings are functioning. When the dial pointer points at any manual setting, the indicator lights up that correct setting and dryer time. But when the dial is rotated to any of the automatic settings, again only a manual setting lights up and the correct amount time for that manual setting is indicated. It appears that the pattern to tell which manual setting lights up when the dial points to an automatic setting is the following: whatever manual setting is 180 degrees oposite/across from the direction the dial points to on the automatic side is what manual setting is lit and time indicated.

Any possible solutions? Drier is 12+ years old.
