My dryer stopped heating, so I researched and replaced fuses and thermostats and the heating element. It then worked great for about three weeks and then it would not shut off until it hit a certain off setting. I.E. it would run through regular and timed dry until it hit the second or third OFF setting. Then, after several times doing that, it stopped spinning but the heat was intense on the back of the dryer near the element even with it not running. Do I have a short? Have I burned up a thermostat? Or is it the timing/setting switch? It is not worth keep buying parts unless it is something simple. The drum will manually turn. It is like the motor does not come on at all. Thanks for any assistance.
