Gas dryer turns but not heat. Glow bar came on but die quickly with no flame. Were told this was an "easy" fix. We changed solenoid coils (with aftermarket parts), nothing. Called repair man who put original coils and bingo, got flame. He tried it two/three times and it worked. We paid and he left. About one hour later, we put in clothes to dry and no heat! Looked inside and same deal - glow bar comes on but no flame. Called repair man who now says it's the "gas valve" itself. The part is $180.

Before this dryer nickle and dimes us to death, can anyone tell me if this sounds right (gas valve)? Someone else mentioned the ignitor, but it went on (albeit for short time) with no problems. Thank you
