Installed LA-1053 thermostat kit to fix a no run condition. Runs great but front of dryer below lint trap get extremely HOT. Cleaned excessive lint from inside front panel during replacement. Scared to run it.......Help

I would check the housing where the blower assembly fits onto the machine. Sometimes this housing gets so full of lint that it only has a small space for air to exhaust.
The issue of it being too hot is most likely what caused the failure to begin with. There should also be a high limit cut off, depending on the model number.

Did you clean/check your vent system?
This should not cause a heat build up here but it definitely will not help things either. |
