My dryer has become very noisy. The last time this happened I took out the idler pulley and lubed it. Does the idler pulley need to be lubed or does it need to be replaced? This solved the problem back then but now it's much louder and continuous. Could it be the drum support rollers this time? I have only replaced the drive belt on this machine so far, and it's about 30 years old. Can it be placed on its back to make servicing easier?
