My White-Westinghouse gas dryer quit heating--the ignitor glowed, but no flame. I replaced the gas valve solenoids, and all was right with the world for half a dozen loads; then the same problem--glowing ignitor, but no flame. I replaced the radiant sensor, and all was again functioning properly for two loads; then a new problem--the ignitor is now not glowing. I am troubled by the sequential failure--if I replace the ignitor or the part which has caused the ignitor not to glow, will I get another failure or are the sequential failures coincidental? I am a bit like Sherlock Holmes--I don't believe much in coincidence . . .
