Unhappy dryer does not fire
Model Number: lgr5620kq1   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years

Second request for help on this issue. Last time the gas solenoids were bad, so I made a major assumption this was the problem now. These have been replaced with no change. In the process I broke the ceramic pilot, but in doing so, the unit was still plugged in and I shorted it to ground. This kicked on the blower motor and the gas flame. Now ceramic heater replaced and still no fire.Looking for help on where to go next, or to get a manual that will help me trace the circuit and diagnose the problem. I'm tired of quessing. Please help this dummy.

Here is the wiring diagram for your dryer. Have you checked the fuse? As you may tell from the diagram, there are a few things to check that pass power to the igniter. Hope this helps.
