Dryer started making thumping noise like something other than clothes was in there. Continued to thump even when empty. Thought it might be rollers, vacuumed all out and turned out to be pulley that belt is on. Replaced that and noise was gone, appeared to be fixed. But, 2 minutes into cycle it shut off and had E1 on display. Every site I checked said to check exhaust and if that wasn't it, to change thermistor. Changed thermistor but still shuts off with E1 code. HELP! I really don't want to call and pay a repairman, but my house looks like an indoor yard sale with clothes hanging everywhere to dry, LOL
