If anyone has dealt with a Maytag Neptune gas or electric dryer with a solid state type panel I recently found out by accident that these panels are somewhat temperature sensitive. If a dryer is left in a fairly cold area it may not start when the panel button is pushed . If this appears to be a dead control panel put a hot pad on the panel face for 15 or 20 minutes and retry it. It may be the solution to an otherwise apparently dead panel . A dryer in a normal inside temperature environment usually does not see this type of problem.
