Dryer Squealing
Model Number: LEA60AW Brand: Amana Age: 5 - 10 years
When dryer is in use there is a sqealing noise. I would say it would be a roller or a bearing. What is the most common issue? Everything still works, but the noise is terrible. If it is a roller, how hard is it to change out?

Hi Gary,
The cause of such noise could be: the drum support rollers (#18 on the rear bulkhead parts break down diagram), the idler pulley (#19 on the motor break down diagram) or the gliders (#13 on the front bulkhead parts break down diagram). To find out exactly what is a cause of the problem and to fix it the front panel and the drum have to be removed. Post your findings, please. Here are the break down diagrams for the Amana dryer Model LEA60AW
