I first had a problem with my dryer last week it seemed if I let a wet load sit in the dryer it would not start. I would actually have to reach in the dryer give it a little push and it would start working. Then it was fine until the dryer sat idle for a while. Two days ago it completely stopped. I opened the dryer up replaced the belt and idler. The idler actually had a worn-out groove from the belt. I reassembled everything assuming that between the belt and the idler it was the problem. I was wrong. The drum spins freely with and without the belt. The motor spins freely with or without the belt. What else am I missing?
