Heating element is on as soon as dryer is connected to power.

When I setup the timer for any program and I press start the drum is not moving.

any suggestions?

Check the motor switch. Unplug dryer, open control panel and disconnect purple (may be blue) wire from timer PU/BU terminal. Check resistance between the terminal on that wire to both of the flat blades on the power plug. If you read a low resistance on one of the blades to the wire, the motor is faulty.

Thank you for your suggestion but this is what i found

>Heating element is on as soon as dryer is connected to power.
Reason -> Heat element welded to housing.
> When I setup the timer for any program and I press start the drum is not moving.
Reason -> The thermal fuse was bad. I connected two wires without thermal fuse and drum was moving.
I order new parts (heating element and thermal fuse) form ********. I will post the update as soon as I replace the bad parts.

If timer is in OFF position, the heater should not come on even if it is grounded. I had assumed this was the case. If it is, then you have a faulty motor switch or timer in addition to the grounded element.
