The electric dryer was half way finished with a medium load and stopped running. Attempted to re-set and re-start but no results. Also checked the power outlet

Check for blown thermal fuse on the blower housing. If open, replace the fuse and check all internal and external ductwork for blockage from excess lint buildup.
