Maytag 2000 series electric dryer. I'm getting no power at all. Nothing on the panel and no light inside the drum. Tested the outlet with multimeter. All good. Tested the thermal fuse, door switch, thermostat, element ... all showed continuity except the thermistor. It did show 13.5 in the 200 (i think) ohms setting.
Is it the control panel and how can I test it?

Here are your parts Parts for Maytag YMEDE250XL0 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.comDo you have the tech sheet? The drum light does not go through the control board so it may be a power problem. Neutral (white) to L1 (black) is the side of the line that powers the board and the drum light. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, check the voltage at the wall receptacle. L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. [COLOR="Red"]Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! [/COLOR] Your thermistor reading does look low but it may be that you were on a different meter scale. |

Turns out there's a sub panel in the house that was never labelled proper. It is now and that's where the 1 fuse was (old screw in style) that was blown. Got a 110 shock while I was working on something I thought was shut down at the wrong panel. Followed all the fuses and found the proper one and shut down the old 220 that was still open. Grateful it wasn't 220 at the time I got the zap. So thanks for steering me in the right direction. I'm still alive and well :)
