My dryer was squeaking so I tore into it. :) I found the problem fairly easily and ordered new parts for it (drum bearing). However, while vacuuming out the shell and drum I noticed (what i thought was) lint inside the shield on the back of the outside of the drum. As I was finishing vacuuming, it started to look more like insulation than lint. My question is... was this insulation or just lint? This would fall at or about over the heating elements, that's what got me wondering.
Thank you for any guidance on this.
