The dryer would run about half of its cycle, then cut off. It was way to hot. After it cooled down we could start it again. I ordered and replaced the Thermal fuse. I still have the same problem. what should I do now. thanks.

Check for excessive lint buildup in all internal and external ducting. Be sure to check inside blower housing as well. Blow out lint in motor. Make sure there is no heat during air fluff cycle. If there is, then heater coil is probably grounded. If ok and ducting is all clear, then I would replace the operating thermostat. This regulates the heat, assuming air flow is correct (no blockage, no leaks).

What is the operating thermostat? Is it the same as the cycling thermostat?
