I have an approx. 7 yr old Frigidaire front loader elec dryer. I think the model is Affinity, that's what's on the front door anyway. The problem with it is when you set the time on it, say for 50 min, it beeps at 20 min, and the beeps are louder than they used to be, It seems to work normal other than that. Basically the timer isn't timing correctly and the finished beeper seems louder than normal. What can I do to fix it, etc. Thanks

I see your post has not been answered yet. I do not have a solid answer, yet, though I am thinking it may be the control board.
But, I too have this problem and am searching...just wanted to bump this thread to get it some more attention.

Did your problem come after you replaced other components?

Mine did, after I replaced the upper felt and heating element.

Don't think there's any connection, though.

Haven't replaced anything. It just started doing it on it's own. Took apart the entire lint trap and area below it and thoroughly cleaned everything and cleaned vent hose and checked for restrictions and everything was good.

In your case, it might be the control board. Did you find a lot of lint in the cabinet area? If yours developed a lint leak, like mine did, lint would coat everything outside the drum, possibly causing overheating or a short.
