whirlpool dryer trips circuit breaker during the cool down cycle. checked entire system for grounds, shorts, etc but everything checks ok. cant afford electrician or new dryer, help.

Sounds like a timer problem. During cool down, timer contacts BK to R open which turns off the heat circuit. May be contact shorting inside timer. If timer does not fix the problem, you may return it.
