My dryer had acquired a very loud sound over the last couple of weeks. Upon inspection I noticed that 3 out of the 4 glides were completely worn down and caused damage to the dryer front bearing frame. I replaced the frame and installed 4 new glides. The old sound is gone but a very faint sound has started. It isn't a constant sound but it still sounds like something is rubbing. Do new glides have a tendency to make a faint noise for a while?
