So my wife was drying and when she opened up the dryer it smelled like gas. I turned off the gas , the turned it back on to check if there was a leak on the gas line. Nothing, no bubbles. It only smells after a while of use when you open up the dryer. Smell is kind of strong. When the dryer is off, there is no smell. I opened up the dryer and when I turned it on, the ignitor turns on bright orange, holds for about ten seconds and then turns off. I left the dryer on for ten minutes and it would happen every time. Turns on bright orange, holds for ten seconds and turns off followed by a clicking noise. Is this normal? I did some research and think maybe I need to replace the coils?? Im not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
