Ge dryer won't start

GE electric dryer won't start, light on inside tub area comes on so I think I have power as I also checked to see if breaker was tripped and it wasnt. On the controls the power, extended tumble, refresh, start/pause will light up every 30 seconds but the dryer will not start. Please help....
