My Maytag dryer is not drying at all. Someone suggested replacing the coils, but the glow ignitor is not coming on at all either. Do the coils affect the ignitor at all?

power runs to the ignitor first, then it lights up triggering the radiant sensor, which in turn opens the coils. with an ohm meter you can systematically test your thermostats, thermal fuse, high limit and ignitor. if any appear open that is the bad component. if they are all fine, you will have to begin to follow the electricity to see where it stops
