We have a Whirlpool Cabrio dryer. For a long time it has been making a loud buzz when it is "sensing" during drying.

It is almost like a loud vibrating sound. It does not make the sound when the "sensing" light is not lit.

It has annoyed me long enough so I would like to get it fixed. Is it the sensors or is there something else related to the sensors that is causing this annoying noise?

Thanks in advance - Jeff

i have never heard of this one. if the noise is coming from the counsel it may be the led if it is from the toe panel it may have to do with the mov (just below the sensors inside the machine. other than than almost all of the components are the same for timed dry vs sensor dry.

Thanks. I think it may be something loose in the back. It is not coming from the front. I climbed on top the dryer when it was making the noise. I banged on the back just to see what would happen and the noise became quieter. A couple more bangs and it is not noticeable now.

I will take the back off and see if I see anything. I always thought that it was something to do with the sensor since it only made the noise when that light was on... If I knew a few taps on the back would have fixed this problem, I would have beat the hell out of it years ago...
