I own a old maytag gas dryer. The other day I noticed that timer wouldn't advance in auto dry permanent press cycle. Then I tried it in timed dry cycle, air fluff cycle and it advanced. Then I gave the panel in front of the timer a tap with handle of screwdriver, then timer worked in auto dry cycle. Is timer motor going bad? Any advice?
