Model Number: LNC7764A71 Brand: Admiral Age: 5 - 10 years
When I push the start button nothing happens. There is no light inside the dryer either. I turned the fuse on and off an couple of times and no change.

Check at the unit to be sure you have the correct power.
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral should be 120 volts. Sounds like you have lost half the line as normally the motor and the light use the same side of the line. The door switch is Normally Closed power to the light and Normally open power to the motor.

Here are your parts
Control panel replacement parts for ADMIRAL LNC7764A71 | AppliancePartsPros.com I cannot find a wiring diagram for this unit. If you do not have it look in the control console, they like hiding it in there. Try different settings/cycle types to see if it will start. Though on most dryers the interior light is not wired through the timer, it is worth a shot. Check that a wire has not burned off at the terminal strip in the machine. Next check the door switch After that check the thermal fuse on the heater. Here is a good site with basic dryer help http://www.applianceaid.com/dryers.html
