Kenmore gas dryer timer not moving when using auto moisture sensing
when using auto moisture sensing the timer doesn't move at all. The dryer does heat. Had to manually stop it by opening the door. Otherwise, it will run forever and the clothes are getting really hot. Tried timed dry and the timer does move and turn off properly. Tried to clean sensor strips using alcohol pad but no luck. Also, cleaned lint slot where the strips connected through. Still problem. I guess it could be the sensor or maybe sensor circuit board? I managed to open the (top) console but didn't see any circuit board. Also, the sensor is on the front lint grill. I think I have to take down the whole front panel to replace the sensor strips if want to, correct? The label shows the mod is 11012904100 (assuming this is the model #) and ser ml3802300. But I can't find anything related to this model like manual or parts.
Any idea what the problem could be and how to fix it? What to get the part and part #?
