Frigidaire dryer e66 code still comes up
Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years
Our Frigidaire dryer is less than two years old. We recently got the e66
"door open" code and called in a repair person who said the control board needed to be replaced. We put in a new one, but that didn't solve the problem. We brought in another repairman who took apart the dryer and identified the problem as a frayed wire leading to a fuse in the back of the dryer (he said the fuse and other components checked out fine). After he repaired the wiring, the unit began working again -- but for only twenty minutes at a time before shutting down (again, error code 66 came up). We thought it might be a heat buildup due to some kind of blockage in the vent, but we checked and everything is working fine on that end. Any ideas what's continuing to cause the problem?
