Kenmore 400 Gas Dryer - Won't stay hot
Hello all. I am sort of at a dead end on this one. Granted, I am far from being an expert at repairing my dryer.
It started out where my dryer would not heat up at all. Just totally cold so I read the forums and thought it may be the thermal fuse. I went and bought one and replaced it as I have done this a few years ago in which it fixed the problem. This did not work...totally. Now it will heat up and stay hot for about 5 minutes and then start getting cold. It will sort of make this rattling noise and then after that noise happens, that is when it will start cooling off.
From there I thought maybe it could be the timer? I messed around that in a futile attempt to hope it was an easy fix such as that. No luck of course. Could it be the gas regulator? Just kind of grasping at straws on this one. Thanks very much to you guys for any help.
