I Purchased a universal dryer kit for a gas dryer M#DDG8280VBCAD and am having some issues with the install of the new motor.
1. after everything is put back together 2 problems surface. a. the fan rubs and binds against the front of the bulkhead, and b. the rear motor mount does not line up with the motor mount cradle.
2. the wiring diagram supplied with the motor does not correspond with the existing wiring in the dryer.
So my questions are:
Does anyone know of a method of spacing between the fan housing and the bulkhead or adjusting the motor spindle so that the fan will seat further down the shaft. the adjustment needed is about 1/8 inch?
Any suggestions as to what to do about the rear support?
Does anyone have any suggestions regarding the wiring differences?
Thank you
