Default maytag gas dryer will run then won't
Model Number: MGD583OTWO   Brand: Maytag   Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com
After completing 2 loads dryer would not start waited a short time 15-30 minutes dryer start. Ran fine for about a week than did same thing after about 4 loads. Now when it does start gets 1-2 loads and restart time 1hr to days

Must be a bad motor, getting hot and quitting. You could oil it with some temp resistant zoomspout oil. You would have to drill some holes into the wells
(1/8th in) on each side of the motor,(does not come with any). After filling those cotton wells with fresh oil you must work the motor free. Wiggle it and spin it by hand till it loosens up and retry. It could go a little bit more. In these hard times a motor is an expensive thing. Zoomoil costs $2 at ace hardware and is endorsed by HVAC techs everywhere. You could oil your furnace and ac motors too.
Just a thought,
