dryer was running, opened door to check load,closed door and pushed on button, nothing dryer will not come on.

First would be to check the power.
An easy check is to put the timer to mid-cycle timed dry.
If the timer advances then you have Neutral to L1 power which is used to also run the main motor.

If power is OK then unplug the unit and check the thermal fuse (item 6 in section 04).
Could be that the thermal fuse on the blower wheel (Item 7 in Section 3) has blown.

Unplug the unit and check the fuse with a meter should be 0 ohms.

Jiggery Pokery method is.
Unplug the unit.
Remove both wires from the fuse, short them together and tape them up so they will not short to the frame.
Plug the unit in and give it a try.

If blown, replace the fuse ASAP as it is a critical safety device re: prevents lint fires which can turn into house fires.

Also clean/check your vent system and the blower as these are the most common causes of it blowing.

it was the thermal fuse. you saved me a 75 dollar service fee and I am now familiar with the workings of a dryer by doing it myself. thanks
