I have a Maytag electric dryer (Model #: PYE2000AYW) that has stopped turning. The timer had stopped moving for a few months already, but we kept using it by manually turning it off each time. Recently after the belt broke, I replaced the belt. It worked once and the timer was actually moving. Now the dryer totally stopped turning. The new belt is still fine.

Is this a timer issue? How to check if the timer is the problem?
