Our gas dryer makes a rattling noise that sounds as if there is a loose item in the drum, or times with metal buttons like jeans, but nothing is in there. Any suggestions of what to look for to repair it?

Check that the fins in the dryer drum are tight.

Thanks. Checked the fins and they are all tight, so that's not it.

Did you check to see if you have debris in the paddles unscrew them and check inside them for debris.
