Continues to "sense", cycle never starts.
Model Number: GEW9868KQ4 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
My Whirlpool Senseon dryer is not starting its cycle. When I attempt to start any of the various cycles, the "Sensing" LED lights up and continues to stay lit, all the while the dryer never starts its cycle.
When I do the Moister Sensor Diagnostic test (via technical sheet), when I open the door the error code 7E shows up on the display. It is my understanding that this means there is a short circuit in the moisture sensing system.
I have tried, with no luck:
- Replacing electronic control
- Replacing LED Console Panel
- Replacing thermal fuse
- Replacing thermistor
Note - I have done the diagnostic tests and measurements. I replaced the above via recommendation from a parts store (fyi - I was fully refunded for returning all of them). I did not necessarily agree with trying to replace of those parts, but did it through their recommendation.
Next steps: Should I maybe try replacing the moisture sensor harness?
