Hi and thanks for any help,
The dryer runs and heats first thing in the morning--but after a bit the heat turns off and then when the ignitor tries to fire off it glows up and then flows down without flame kicking in. The Timer does not move when set to the Automatic Dry/Jeans point. It does move on the "Timed" side. I replaced the Timer (and Timer Motor) and this did not change the symptoms. Do you know what else might make the Timer stick in one spot--and is this a separate issue from the heat not working? Is it possible I got a bad (new) Timer? I did check the old Timer ohm reading and the BK to BU check reads infinite--so it is bad (I did that with the Timer uninstalled--is that ok?). I just checked the new one (that is installed on the dryer) and this reading was 0.00 as it is supposed to be. I haven't yet checked the other ohm readings on the Timer.

Seperate issue for the heat typically.........ohm out the coils see if there bad sounds like your problem...your timer issue check your electricity and connections at the timer make sure you have 120v......watch a youtube video on it should help you break down your unit or check out sears parts website for schematics on how to break down your unit......good luck
