dryer has developed a bumping sound afer 1 or 2 minutes. sounds like someone put a sneaker in the dryer by itself!!! no previus problems. i am guessing its the belt or the rollers i see listed in this appliance repair website. i have electrical and mechanical skills. (trade school background plus). i would like to attempt a repair of the unit.

Dismantle unit and start moving things around to see if you have friction or resistance in your rollers, guides, felt, belt tensioner or motor pully, make sure everything is lined up and rolls smoothly, also check the blower housing and inside the unit for lint and clean it all out........also check the drum for any cracks or excessive bending or warp.
