So the dryer wasn't heating up (checked vent, lint screen, etc.). Removed the back panel on the dryer and noticed at start-up, the burner ignited and stayed lit for appx. 45 seconds. Then it went out and the dryer went cold.
Assumed, after reading here on the forum (great forum by the way!), that the coils were bad.
Replaced the coils this morning and fired it up. It lit fine and stayed on for about a minute, then shut off. After a few minutes, it re-lit and stayed on a bit and shut off again.
Opened the door and the inside was hot.
My question, when the dryer is set on the timed cycle on high heat, does the burner run the entire time, or does it start up, shut off, start up, shut off ... throughout the timed cycle - or is it supposed to stay lit/running the entire cycle?
Thanks for any advice!
