Installed new ignighter. It broke shortley after installing. Put in new ignighter it lite up and broke when plugged in. Switch was off, unit was still plugged into 120 outlet.

Local appliance parts house checked and thought I should install new coils. I have new coils and new ignighter installed but scared to plug in to 120 outlet.
Should I be looking for something else?
